Our Green Porbandar Mission

The ‘Green Porbandar’ initiative is a dedicated effort to transform the city into a sustainable and healthy environment for current and future generations. We have undertaken this initiative of planting 15,000+ trees across the region by identifying the critical importance of greenery for pure air and environmental balance. This mission goes beyond just planting. We also nurture sapling for more than three years to grow into a mature tree. Our main aim is to create a lasting legacy of ecological protection and community.

Community Participation & Progress

We all know true change is achieved through collective action. The “Our Porbandar – Green Porbandar” campaign has successfully united citizens, local leaders and organizations in a shared vision for a greener future. Inspired by the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign launched by Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, we encourage residents to donate and participate in planting trees in honor of their loved ones. Through our “Green Village – Green City” initiative, we have installed a tree guard at a cost of ₹3,000 (approx. 36 US Dollars) per tree. This widespread involvement is the backbone of our success, turning our dream of a green city into a visible, growing reality with people’s participation and commitment.

A Sustainable Future is HEACT’s Aim

Our work is a long-term investment in Porbandar’s environmental health and resilience. Each tree planted contributes to cleaner air and cooler temperatures that fight with pollution and climate change effects. We complement our plantation drives by installing tree guards and promoting awareness about environmental conservation. We also ensure that Porbandar becomes a green city offering a greener and more prosperous place to its future generation. This journey is about building a sustainable legacy by planting one saplings at a time.
