Our Humanitarian Mission

The Indian Red Cross Society, Porbandar, is a vital voluntary humanitarian organization dedicated to protecting human life and health across the region. We, along with Red Cross, provide critical services through blood donation camps and emergency units under the leadership of Mr. Ramdevbhai Modhwadia. Our mission is to bring hope and immediate aid to the most vulnerable during crisis times. We also ensure that essential healthcare by organizing regular medical help and support reach every corner of the community by mobilizing dedicated volunteers. As a Health Education and Charitable Trust, we uphold the fundamental principles of humanity and impartial service to all.

Building Modern Infrastructure for Public Health

To expand our reach and enhance service quality, we are constructing a modern, fully-equipped ‘Red Cross Bhavan’ in Porbandar. This facility will have an advanced blood bank, diagnostic laboratory, dental clinic and physiotherapy center that offer services in major metropolitan cities. This infrastructure will serve as a central hub for public health to make sure that residents have permanent access to advanced medical care and diagnostic support. It represents our long-term commitment to support the local healthcare ecosystem and saves more lives through professional intervention available on time.

Disaster Preparedness and Community Resilience

Disaster management is a cornerstone of our work. We have trained a specialized team having experience in rescue, emergency and relief operations during natural or man-made disasters. This team has already proven vital, working with administration during recent floods to evacuate residents, provide shelter, and distribute food packets. Our efforts ensure Porbandar is better prepared for emergencies by minimizing suffering and accelerating recovery. We also build a resilient society through continuous training and community drills that make them capable of facing challenges with courage and solidarity.
