The Health Education and Charitable Trust (HEACT), under the dedicated leadership of Shri Ramdevbhai Modhwadia, successfully organized a mega blood donation camp in Ahmedabad on 23rd June last year. This initiative saw a tremendous response from citizens, local organizations, and volunteers. All of them are uniting for a common cause: to save lives.
Why Blood Donation?
One unit of donated blood can save up to three lives. It is a critical resource for patients undergoing surgeries, cancer treatments, trauma care, and those with chronic conditions like thalassemia.
The camp was organized together with the Indian Red Cross Society. The HEACT and its team ensured a smooth and hygienic blood donation process.
Blood Camp Highlights:
- All donors received a preliminary health screening, including blood pressure.
- A team of experienced Red Cross doctors and HEACT volunteers ensured a painless donation experience.
- Donors were provided with certificates of appreciation, refreshments and post-donation care advice.
This blood donation camp is a part of HEACT’s mission to improve health and well-being in the region. Organizing such a blood camp addresses an immediate medical need and also nurtures a culture of regular voluntary donation.
